Star Wars: Clone Wars premiere date set: August 15, 2008
Fans of ABC’s Lost will get a kick out of the date for the premiere of the Star Wars: Clone Wars animated series: 8-15-08, as recently reported by the Official Star Wars Blog. Check out the first official screencaps and trailer on the Star Wars official site. Anakin’s sporting a very Vader-like set of chest armor (strangely missing in Revenge Of The Sith), and there is a sweet pic of Clonetroopers charging the ever-beleaguered Battle Droids. Here’s a closeup:
No word yet if any of these characters are named Jad. I’m sure I’ll be the first to know.
A previous Clone Wars premiere date of August 8th (the super-creepy date 8-8-08) had been floating around, however there’s something happening on that day that may be just slightly bigger than Star Wars: The Olympics Opening Ceremonies in Beijing. My good buddies Jason and Pete over at The Force-Cast brought this up in their February 22 episode, and even name-dropped me, Jad, at the 1:15:49 mark.
